Each call is scored against the same session's open→close move — the only return a pre-open call could actually capture.
Every prediction is graded against the open-to-close return of the exact session it was made for: the session's opening price to its closing price. A call is published before the market opens, so the first moment anyone could act on it is the open — the overnight gap is not capturable and is therefore not counted.
Grading is strict about dates: the price bar must be dated exactly the call's session. If that bar is missing the call stays ungraded (a stranded call) rather than being scored against the wrong day.
